The textile and clothing industry have undergone dramatic structural change in recent decades. Nevertheless, the entire textile chain – from raw materials to the finished garment or textile product – is still present in the region Rhine-Meuse-North and with the intensive use of the circular economy the textile sector can take over the innovation leadership in the region.
In a interesting “Innovation Forum” multiple speakers exemplify how innovative euregional companies an a university of applied sciences can support and drive a textile-company’s innovation process. Firstly, Frans Beckers, will speak about our role as FBBasic/Cirmar and how we support innovation processes in particular within circular economy with the use of Cirmar applications.
Secondly, Laura Kunze, project manager of the german company imat-uve gmbh will talk about our cooperation in a cross-border project on mixed fibre recycling for the automotive sector.
